After a flight: The battery may swell due to heat. If it returns to normal after cooling, it can continue to be used. If it does not return to normal, please replace it.
During storage: This may result from excessive charge cycles, improper long-term maintenance, or factors such as over-discharge, impact, or water ingress. Since the battery contains chemicals, any of these can cause swelling.
If swelling occurs, unfortunately, there is no way to recover the batteries. DJI recommends replacing the pair of batteries, whether the issue arises within or outside of the warranty period.
If the battery will not be used for more than 10 days, discharge it to 40%–65% (when the third indicator light is on or flashing) before storage.
Charge and discharge the battery approximately every 3 months to maintain activity and extend its lifetime. Storing a fully drained battery may lead to over-discharge and permanent damage.
Store Intelligent Flight Batteries in a well-ventilated, dry place.
The battery will enter hibernation mode if depleted and stored for an extended period. Recharge it to bring it out of hibernation.
After each flight, allow the battery to cool completely before charging. Charging while hot may cause damage.
